After a busy last couple of weeks work it is finally time to get out into the mountains for myself again... This weekend was suitably busy - having planned with ginny to head up to the Plan des Gouilles refuge on Saturday afternoon to then go on up the Grand Bec on Sunday a late phone call from Greg promising good conditions on the North face of Bellecote was too much to pass up.
The Ruggéri couloir on the skiers right of the face was our goal for the day, and gave some interesting skiing, with variable snow down a continually steep line... nice to get over to this side of the face for the first time!!
