Kendal Mountain Festival

Well, winter can start now...

I have finally got back to France after a few weeks in the UK, finishing off with what is becoming a regular trip to work as compere at the Kendal Mountain Festival. This annual gathering of outdoor-folk was well attended despite the atrocious weather conditions, and saw a great line-up of films, speakers and of course a good chance to socialise and catch up with friends from all over the place.

Personal highlights were introducing the legendary Chris Sharma to a packed house at the Dojo on the Saturday night, along with the films Signatures, Remembering Paul Williams, and Alone on the Wall.
When I met Chris prior to his lecture he seemed like a genuinely nice guy, and is obviously enjoying life in his adopted home in Spain, and came across very modestly with respect to his immense climbing talent.

Signatures is a film by Nick Waggoner shot in Japan, and had a really nice vibe to it, along with some amazing powder shots - time to book some flights I think!

I finally arrived back in France last nast after an epic drive down through England, and long delays at Dover... time to dust off the ski gear and get sliding!!
